This hands-on leader ensures visible presence, accountability, and continuous improvement in risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, environmental science, industrial engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive safety or EHS experience in manufacturing or industrial operations.
• Minimum of 5 years leading safety programs across multiple facilities and 3 years managing safety professionals.
• Direct experience with Cal/OSHA compliance, IIPP ownership, inspection management, and corrective actions.
• Working knowledge of NFPA 70E, arc flash risk assessment, and hazardous energy control practices.
• Demonstrated success improving safety performance and safety culture.
• Experience developing and managing EHS budgets and presenting to senior leadership.
• Proficiency with EHS management systems, incident tracking, and reporting tools.
• Strong ability to maintain safety standards in fast-paced environments.
• Based in or willing to relocate to the greater Sacramento or Rancho Cordova area.
• Valid California driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve safety and environmental programs, policies, procedures, and management systems.
• Develop, coach, and manage the EHS team for consistent execution and site coverage.
• Maintain a strong presence in manufacturing operations to promote engagement and safe work practices.
• Ensure compliance with Cal/OSHA, OSHA, environmental, NFPA, and other regulatory requirements.
• Lead electrical safety programs, including NFPA 70E compliance and arc flash risk management.
• Support new facility start-ups, equipment relocations, and expansions through safety planning and readiness reviews.
• Strengthen safety culture through near-miss reporting, behavior-based safety initiatives, and workplace organization.
• Oversee incident investigations, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and risk assessments.
• Develop and communicate EHS performance metrics, dashboards, and reports for leadership.
• Partner with HR, Operations, Engineering, and Facilities on safety initiatives and budget decisions.
• Manage the EHS budget and prioritize investments to reduce risk.
