The Goddard School in Reading, MA is seeking an experienced Director of Education to partner with the Director of Operations and the leadership team, delivering an exceptional experience for children, families, and staff.

This full-time role focuses on daily operations, program quality, licensing compliance, and staff coaching, with a competitive salary and benefits package, plus annual bonus eligibility for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
• Minimum 4-8 years as a Director in a licensed Childcare Center with 100+ students and 35+ teachers.
• MA Director II Certification.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs to support child safety, including lifting infants and assisting in emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• Operations: Oversee daily operations, including staffing, parent relations, and facilities.
• Program Quality: Ensure delivery of curriculum-aligned programs that support development and kindergarten readiness, including summer programs.
• Employee Success: Build a positive team culture through coaching, development, performance management, and issue resolution.
• Parent Relations: Lead team culture, training, and performance management.
• Licensing Compliance: Maintain full compliance with state and franchise regulations, ensuring accurate records and a safe environment.
