Job summary

Foodwise is seeking a Director of Education to lead and grow our education programs in the Bay Area. You will coach a small education team, align activities with our strategy, and build partnerships with schools, community organizations, and local partners.

The role involves budgeting, program evaluation, and representing Foodwise in public forums. You will oversee Youth Education and Culinary Program efforts, shape program design, and guide a path toward a renovated teaching kitchen at the

Qualifications

• 5+ years leading food, agriculture, and/or youth education programs; 2–3 years managing staff.
• Experience evaluating educational programs with data and feedback to strengthen offerings.
• Strong collaboration with staff, interns, volunteers, and partners.

Responsibilities

• Own the Education department's annual work plan aligned with Foodwise's strategic plan.
• Lead and develop the Education team; manage hiring and onboarding.
• Evaluate youth programs and build partnerships with SFUSD and community groups.
• Organize public engagement events like demos and tours; liaise with partners.
• Support fundraising events and participate in DEIJ initiatives.
