Volunteers of America - Greater New York, Inc. in Bronx, NY seeks a Director of Early Childhood Education Services to lead delivery of high-quality preschool programs, supervise staff, and ensure compliance with grants, contracts, and educational guidelines.

The role collaborates with NYSED, NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, NYC Department of Education, and the NYS Education Department on all aspects of ECE programs, including accreditation maintenance and staff development.

Qualificações

• MS in Special Education is required.
• New York State Certification in Special Education required.
• Certification in Students with Disabilities-Birth-Grade 2 required.
• Administrative/supervisory certification (School Administration and Supervision) required.
• Minimum five years supervisory experience in education programs.

Responsabilidades

• Develops program services for children and families.
• Manages budgets of the early learning center.
• Serves as administrator of education programs and liaison with NYSED/NYC DOHMH/NYCDOE on matters related to ECE programs.
• Ensures NAECY accreditation is maintained and updated.
• Ensures compliance with NYC DOH/Child Care regulations and NYSED guidelines.
• Oversees professional development for education staff and service staff.
• Maintains safe facilities for children, families, staff, and volunteers.
• Provides supervision and coaching to the early learning center leadership team.
