Job summary

World Gospel Mission, Inc. is hiring a Director of Advancement who will provide strategic leadership for donor engagement, fundraising, and communications.

The role focuses on growing unrestricted revenue, developing donor journeys, and strengthening long-term partnerships to support the Great Commission work. The Director will oversee major gifts, annual giving, estate and planned giving, foundations, and stewardship efforts.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years in nonprofit fundraising with demonstrated success in growing unrestricted revenue.
• Experience in donor engagement, cultivation and stewardship across major gifts and annual giving.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation abilities with strong storytelling.
• Cross-cultural ministry experience is helpful but not required.
• Occasional travel within the US may be required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of an integrated Advancement strategy to grow unrestricted revenue.
• Develop and oversee donor journeys for grants, annual giving, major gifts, and estate giving.
• Cultivate donor relationships through calls, visits, proposals, and timely follow-up.
• Communicate ministry impact and partnership opportunities to inspire donors.
• Ensure donor records and campaigns are accurate and well-documented.
• Collaborate with leadership to align fundraising with organizational priorities.
