Job summary

District Management Group seeks a Director to lead the Breakthrough Results (BTR) team, partnering with K-12 leaders to drive measurable student outcomes. You will design programs, set SMART goals, and supervise coaches, ensuring data-driven decision making and sustained district impact.

You will report to the Boston office regularly, with some remote flexibility. The role requires strategic leadership, strong district knowledge, and a passion for education reform and client success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• At least seven years of relevant work experience, with consulting background favored.
• Experience with public schools or school districts operations.
• Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills.
• Knowledge of structured problem-solving methodologies.
• Exceptional project and time management skills.
• Proficient in Google and Microsoft product suites (Excel, PPT, G-Suite).
• Ability to build data-driven narratives for presentations and reports.
• Proven ability to lead teams and own outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Own client results and ensure measurable improvements for district clients and teacher teams.
• Lead the design of the Breakthrough Results program aligned with district goals.
• Guide clients to set ambitious yet achievable SMART goals.
• Advise on pre/post assessments and progress monitoring tools.
• Shape data review processes and build data-driven narratives for clients.
• Serve as the primary contact for client relationships and sponsor meetings with senior district leaders.
• Develop deep understanding of client context to anticipate challenges and drive success.
• Cultivate client relationships to support future renewals and expansion.
• Lead and mentor junior team members and structure workflows for outcomes.
• Provide regular feedback and contribute to DMG strategy and program improvements.
