Job summary

CRH plc seeks a Director of Distribution based at our Morristown, TN facility with domestic travel as needed. You will lead distribution center operations, develop standardized practices, and drive safety, accuracy, and productivity across the network.

You will partner with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Sales and HR to optimize flow of finished goods, manage budgets, and implement Lean/continuous improvement initiatives to support growth and customer service excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, or related field.
• 10+ years in distribution/warehouse/operations roles.
• Proven ability to improve productivity and reduce costs.
• Strong DC operations, inventory management, and capacity planning.
• Experience with budgets, KPIs and ERP/WMS.

Responsibilities

• Lead distribution center leadership teams and foster safety culture.
• Establish standardized operating system with clear KPIs.
• Optimize network design and facility utilization across sites.
• Partner with manufacturing to improve finished goods flow.
• Drive Lean and operational excellence initiatives.
• Develop scalable processes and SOPs for sites.
• Manage budgets and ROI analyses for investments.
• Utilize ERP/analytics to improve visibility and performance.
