Job summary

Qualifications

• Certified Dietary Manager or Associates Degree or higher in Hospitality, Food Service Management, or Culinary
• A minimum of a H.S. diploma or its equivalent required.
• Must possess a valid food safety certification.

Responsibilities

• Plans, develops, organizes and directs functions of Dining and Nutritional Services Department (including personnel and administrative etc.)
• Supervisory responsibilities with fair, uniform corrective actions
• Maintains inter-departmental communication to support positive working relationships
• Assists with the annual dining and nutritional center budget preparation
• Ensures compliance with budget restraints and documents variances
• Maintains supplies and equipment per department budget
• Ensures department compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
• Evaluates serving times, sanitation, food handling and equipment
• Evaluates food quality on nutrition, taste, appearance and temperature
• Acts as liaison between department and patients
• May conduct in-service training programs
• Manages staffing within the budget and may cover other dining staff duties
• Follows procedural guidelines and job descriptions
• Provides reports to administrator for updates and actions
• Participates in hiring processes for staff
• Reviews and responds to complaints from associates or patients
• Keeps OSHA and licensure documentation up to date
• Maintains compliance with current standards and guidelines
• Promotes CHSGa image through servant leadership and communication
• Contributes to system committees and projects
• Performs other duties to support the system
