Northrop Grumman Corp. seeks a Digital Space Technology (DST) Assistant Department Manager to lead an organization of more than 100 engineers responsible for the design and development of advanced digital electronics for Space Systems, including digital circuit cards, FPGA, ASIC, and embedded hardware.

Qualifications

• Bachelors of Science in STEM from an accredited institution; 8+ years in engineering.
• Demonstrated leadership managing large engineering organizations (min 5 years).
• Experience with program execution: cost, schedule, performance, risk, and EVM (min 5 years).
• Strong background in digital electronics, FPGA, ASIC, embedded systems.
• Experience with aerospace/space programs through development, integration, test, production (min 8 years).
• Proven ability to lead organizational change, talent development, and workforce planning.
• Clearance eligibility and ability to obtain government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead a department of 100+ engineers focused on digital electronics, FGPA, ASIC, and embedded hardware.
• Establish staffing, recruiting, retention, and succession plans for critical capabilities.
• Collaborate with program leadership to meet cost, schedule, and baseline targets.
• Drive engineering rigor and technological excellence across hardware development.
• Develop skill roadmaps to meet current and future business needs.
• Support growth through proposals, technology roadmaps, and customer engagement.
• Foster innovation via investment planning and transitioning R&D to flight products.
• Promote an inclusive, high-performing culture with strong employee engagement.
