Job summary

Ussery-Roan Texas State Veterans Home in Amarillo, TX is seeking a Certified Dietary Manager to lead the Dietary Department and ensure high-quality nutritional care for veterans. This on-site, full-time role collaborates with the Registered Dietitian to plan and direct daily operations.

Ideal candidates have a CDM or RD credential and at least two years of supervisory healthcare experience, with a focus on cost control and diet therapy to support resident well-being.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited dietetic training program approved by the American Dietetic Association.
• Minimum of two years of supervisory experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or other healthcare setting.
• Training and experience in cost control, food management, and diet therapy.
• Current CDM or RD credential as required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily operations of the Dietary Department to ensure high-quality nutritional care for veterans.
• Assist the Registered Dietitian in planning, organizing, developing, and directing daily operations of the Dietary Department.
• Ensure nutritional services comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary food service environment.
• Supervise dietary staff and support efficient department operations.
• Assist with menu planning, food management, diet therapy, and cost control initiatives.
• Promote quality resident care through safe and effective nutritional services.

What You'll Do
