Zusammenfassung

Bonsai Leadership Group has partnered with the Japanese American Citizens League (JACL) to identify its next Business Development Director. This hybrid role is based in San Francisco or Los Angeles and will lead the national fundraising, membership growth strategy, and strategic partnerships to sustain JACL’s civil rights mission.

The Director will report to the Executive Director and work with the National Board, growing revenue, converting engagement into philanthropy, and building a culture

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years fundraising or business development in national nonprofits or civil rights orgs.
• Proven history of cultivating and closing five- and six-figure gifts.
• Experience building a development function with strategy, CRM and reporting.
• Hands-on and resourceful with a small team in early growth.
• Skilled at marketing messaging and value propositions to grow membership and donors.

Aufgaben

• Lead a multi-year revenue strategy diversified funding streams.
• Partner with Finance Director on revenue forecasting.
• Direct major gifts portfolio and donor stewardship.
• Develop institutional fundraising strategy across foundations and corporate partnerships.
• Create national fundraising campaigns and tools for chapters.
• Align fundraising, membership, and marketing campaigns across channels.
