Job summary

Neighborhood House Charter School in Dorchester seeks a Director of Development to design and execute the school’s fundraising strategy, manage donor relationships, secure grants, lead annual giving efforts, and cultivate partnerships with foundations, corporations, and community stakeholders to support the school’s priorities.

The Director will lead the Development Team, work with the Executive Director and Board, and oversee budgets, reporting, and communications to advance equity and student

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree required.
  • 5+ years of development experience with donor acquisition and retention.
  • Experience soliciting gifts of 25,000+ and managing donor pipelines.
  • Knowledge of Boston-area philanthropic community and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Refine the Development Plan to meet annual fundraising goals and steward donor relations.
  • Lead the Development Team to raise funds from major gifts, grants, and events.
  • Collaborate with Campaign Committee to plan capital projects and partnerships.
  • Oversee budgets, reporting, and cross-department collaboration with Finance and Communications.
  • Represent NHCS to boards, foundations, corporations and community partners.
