Job summary

Qualifications

  • Minimum eight years in professional development or related field (Required).
  • Five+ years event planning in nonprofit development (Required).
  • Strong donor relations and discreet public interaction skills (Required).
  • Excellent written communication for solicitations and donor inquiries (Required).
  • Proven record of gifts solicited and closed at major gift level (Required).
  • Advanced knowledge of fundraising principles and donor terminology (Required).
  • Ability to design and maintain budgets and track expenditures (Required).
  • Experience with grant management, including proposals, budgets, and reports (Required).
  • Experience with donor databases; Advanced Excel skills beneficial (Preferred).
  • Ability to supervise and develop staff and manage programs (Required).

Responsibilities

  • Lead Williams Institute's corporate and individual giving programs, including events and donor cultivation.
  • Oversee public and private grants and program endorsements.
  • Manage development operations and supervise staff of four.
  • Collaborate with Grant and Finance Administration for grant budgeting and reporting.
  • Develop ambitious fundraising programs to expand income, budget, and impact.
  • Supervise and mentor the Fundraising Manager and grant staff to ensure performance.
