CorpsAfrica seeks a Director of Development to lead the organization’s fundraising program and manage a growing development team. You will translate priorities into actionable plans, coordinate across U.S.

and Africa-based fundraising efforts, and report to the CEO to ensure ambitious revenue goals are achieved. The role requires a strong background in foundations, government funding, major gifts, and donor stewardship, plus hands-on leadership of a developing team and experience with

Qualifications

• At least 7 years of progressive fundraising experience with increasing responsibility.
• Experience across multiple fundraising channels (institutions, individuals, corporate, events).
• Ability to translate strategy into practical plans, systems, and measurable results.
• Experience coaching and developing fundraising staff and fostering accountability.

Responsibilities

• Translate fundraising strategy into work plans, revenue targets, timelines, and measurable objectives.
• Lead day-to-day development across multiple revenue streams including foundations and individual giving.
• Maintain pipelines, deadlines, and performance visibility; ensure timely commitments.
• Identify challenges and risks and develop proactive solutions.
• Ensure staff resources align with high-value opportunities and priorities.
• Contribute across fundraising functions and strengthen systems for growth.
• Build fundraising capacity, staffing, processes, and operating rhythms.
