Job summary

TriCity Family Services is seeking a Director of Development to lead private sector fundraising, ensuring revenue to sustain programs and services. You will guide public relations, marketing, donor engagement, and campaign efforts while collaborating with clinical teams on program marketing strategies.

You will supervise fundraising staff, develop annual plans and budgets, and maintain ethical donor practices, donor records, and timely annual reporting as part of the agency's Management Team.

Qualifications

• Lead the development and execution of the agency's annual Resource Development Plan.
• Oversee the development of the annual Resource Development budget.
• Identify, cultivate, solicit and grow individual donor support and organize the Partnership of Caring campaign.
• Identify, cultivate and solicit support from corporations, churches and community organizations, including United Ways and Community Chests.
• Research, prepare, submit and steward grant proposals to various entities.
• Represent the agency at presentations to businesses and community groups.
• Serve as staff liaison to the Board of Directors Resource Development Committee and produce progress reports.
• Support the agency’s volunteer events and ensure coordinated marketing across programs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the agency's annual Resource Development Plan.
• Manage the Resource Development budget and donor cultivation efforts.
• Lead identification, cultivation, solicitation and growth of donor support and campaigns.
• Oversee grant research, preparation, submission, and stewardship activities.
• Represent the agency to businesses, churches and community organizations.
• Coordinate with the Management Team on fundraising progress and reporting.
• Supervise fundraising staff, including hiring, training and performance reviews.
• Ensure ethical fundraising practices and timely donor acknowledgments and annual reporting.
