Job summary

Girl Scouts of Alaska is seeking a dynamic Director of Development and Community Relations to lead fundraising efforts, cultivate donors, and strengthen partnerships across Alaska. This role drives strategy, secures grants and sponsorships, and plans fundraising events.

You will oversee development operations, coordinate with marketing, work with the CEO and Board, and model our mission of empowering girls while ensuring financial sustainability for the organization.

Qualifications

• Proven success in nonprofit fundraising, development, or related field.
• Ability to develop relationships and achieve fundraising goals.
• Experience coordinating with marketing, communications, or creative partners is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead GSAK’s overall fundraising and development efforts.
• Build and steward relationships with donors, businesses, foundations, and community leaders.
• Identify and pursue new funding and partnership opportunities.
• Plan and lead fundraising campaigns and events.
• Serve as the strategic liaison between GSAK and our external marketing firm.
• Track progress toward fundraising goals and provide recommendations to leadership.
