Job summary

Evergreen Christian Outreach (EChO) in Evergreen, Colorado seeks a Director of Development to lead fundraising strategies and deepen community support. You will build major gifts, grow donor relationships, and create systems to sustain growth, with a focus on collaboration with the Executive Director and Board, and engaging partners across the mountain community.

Qualifications

• At least five years of progressively responsible fundraising/development experience, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
• Demonstrated success in individual giving and relationship-based fundraising.
• Experience developing and stewarding major gifts.
• Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Experience with a donor/constituent relationship management system and fundraising data.
• Ability to work effectively with executive leadership, Board members, staff, volunteers, and community partners.
• A high level of integrity, discretion, and respect for confidentiality.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Grow individual giving. Develop strategies for annual, recurring, major, planned, and transformational giving, while building genuine relationships with supporters.
• Lead major-gift development. Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward significant relationships with Executive Director and Board leadership.
• Build community partnerships with businesses, foundations, congregations, corporations, civic organizations, and other partners.
• Lead fundraising campaigns in partnership with Marketing & Communications.
• Strengthen engagement. Create experiences that help people connect with EChO and understand impact.
• Build a culture of generosity. Make development a shared organizational responsibility.
• Build the infrastructure. Strengthen development systems, database, stewardship, prospect management, reporting, and data use.
• Think strategically about the future. Develop a scalable development program and team.
