Job summary

Meadowbrook School of Weston in Weston, MA is seeking a Director of Development to lead fundraising, strategy and stakeholder engagement. Reporting to the Chief Advancement Officer, the DOD will guide the Advancement Office and drive the Comprehensive Centennial Campaign to advance Meadowbrook’s mission.

The role requires 4+ years in development, strong management and relationship-building skills, and proficiency with fundraising databases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with a minimum of 4+ years of fundraising/advancement experience.
• Previous managerial experience preferred.
• Database proficiency with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge.
• Ability to embrace change and learn new skills in evolving environments.
• Understanding of Meadowbrook’s history and alignment with its mission, culture and values.
• Ability to establish credibility with a broad range of stakeholders.
• Engage alumni, parents, and guardians from diverse backgrounds.
• Humor, collaboration and strong interpersonal skills for internal and external engagement.
• Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the Advancement Office.
• Partner to the Chief Advancement Officer (CAO) and provide strategic leadership for fundraising.
• Lead the ongoing Comprehensive Centennial Campaign execution.
• Develop and implement data-driven strategies to advance relationships and philanthropy.
• Build and manage a high-performing development team.
