The Associated is seeking a Director of Development - Campaign, to manage and grow a significant major gifts portfolio. In this role, you will design and implement comprehensive donor stewardship strategies that align short, intermediate, and long-term philanthropic goals, including annual, supplemental, capital, and planned giving opportunities. The ideal candidate brings a strong track record in major gifts fundraising and a sophisticated understanding of donor identification, cultivation, engagement, and stewardship. This is a highly donor-facing position requiring excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to build trust-based relationships, and a collaborative approach to partnering with lay leaders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and grow a major gifts focused fundraising portfolio of established donors, providing strategic leadership and support for donor affinity group events, programming, and engagement
  • Develop a deep understanding of each donors’ philanthropic passions, capacity, and motivations through strategic in-person and virtual interactions
  • Partner closely with senior fundraising leaders to align strategies and deliver a cohesive, donor-centered approach; plan and execute meaningful engagement opportunities including volunteer experiences, educational programs, receptions, mini-missions, and overseas missions for individual donors
  • Maintain accurate and timely records in the donor database, tracking all stages of relationship management, including identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship
  • Proactively identify and qualify new major gift prospects to expand the pipeline and strengthen long-term fundraising efforts
  • Manage and implement selected campaign portfolios
Compensation Range

$110,000 - $125,000

Qualifications & Skills
  • 5+ years of fundraising experience, preferably in major gifts, or comparable transferable experience
  • Proactive, adaptable, and self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Demonstrated experience across donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop excellent relationships with internal and external colleagues and stakeholders
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail; able to manage multiple priorities and execute effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with business technology, and fundraising databases, experience with data analysis and reporting strong preferred
  • Passion for the Jewish community, Israel, and familiarity with Jewish calendar and lifecycle
