Job summary

The Nuclear Company seeks a Director of Accounting, Deployment, to lead divisional controllership for its deployment business. You will own month-end close, reporting, and policy across multiple entities, including acquisitions, JV/SPV structures, and projects, while advancing SOX readiness.

You will partner with Finance, Legal, and Operations, build the deployment accounting function, and scale processes with a hands-on, player-coach approach as the company grows.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive accounting and controllership experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• Strong technical accounting foundation under U.S. GAAP, incl. large-scale projects.
• Experience in complex, multi-entity environments with JVs/SPVs.
• Ownership of month-end close, financial reporting, and consolidation.
• Experience leading acquisitions and purchase accounting.
• Ability to build scalable close processes and controls.
• Experience managing external audits and accounting documentation.
• Demonstrated ability to build and develop accounting teams.
• Ability to partner across FP&A, Finance, Legal, and Operations.

Responsibilities

• Month-End Close and Financial Reporting for the deployment division.
• Technical accounting and policy across deployment entities and projects.
• Lead acquisition accounting, opening balance sheets, and allocations.
• Systems, processes, and controls including NetSuite integration.
• Financial reporting readiness and SOX/internal control implementations.
• Cross-functional partnership with Deployment Finance, Legal, and Operations.
