Job summary

The Nuclear Company, a fast-growing AI-driven startup in the nuclear and energy space, seeks a senior accounting leader to own month-end close, policy, and consolidation for the services segment. You will oversee acquisitions, internal controls, and integration with ERP systems, partnering with the CAO and external auditors.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in accounting leadership, strong US GAAP knowledge (ASC 606), and a track record of multi-entity integration.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of accounting/controllership with senior leadership.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge—ASC 606 for services.
• Experience integrating multiple entities and acquisitions.
• Ownership of month-end close and consolidation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end close, accuracy and reporting into corporate consolidation.
• Ensure consistent application of accounting policy across service segments (ASC 606).
• Drive purchase accounting and post-acquisition true-ups with leadership.
• Onboard acquisitions onto ERP/system and ensure audit readiness.
• Support SOX/ICFR implementation and public-company reporting readiness.
