Job summary

Brigit is seeking a Director of Data Science to grow and lead a team focused on modeling key business problems across credit risk and payments. You will partner with product, engineering and operations to build a roadmap and deliver data-driven solutions with measurable impact.

You will mentor data scientists, drive AI-assisted development, and ensure governance while aligning with business goals in a fast-growing fintech environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Data Science management with a team of >3.
• 5+ years of modeling/data science experience overall.
• 2+ years at a consumer product company.
• Strong SQL and Python with ML tooling experience.
• Experience in credit risk, churn, loss and revenue forecasting is a plus.
• Masters or PhD in a quantitative field preferred.
• Excellent communication for executives and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a team of data scientists focused on modeling key business problems.
• Mentor team members building quantitative models in Python.
• Bridge data science with product, engineering and ops to shape a data roadmap.
• Lead quarterly planning with business stakeholders to align direction.
• Advise adoption of AI-assisted development and agentic workflows with governance.
