Job summary

Accion Opportunity Fund is seeking a Director of Data and Product Engineering to build and run data analytics, AI tooling, and customer/internal products. This hands-on role involves writing code, designing pipelines, and growing into leading a team.

You will own the data platform, work across Salesforce, AWS, dbt, and Terraform, and partner with cross-functional teams to accelerate reporting, governance, and product delivery in a regulated lending environment.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years building and running data platforms and product systems in production.
• Experience leading a small engineering team and mentoring engineers.
• Experience in financial services or regulated industry with emphasis on security, privacy, and auditability.

Responsibilities

• Build and run the data platform and AI products on AWS stack.
• Lead architectural design of data and product systems.
• Mentor engineers and analysts; collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Deliver reliable data pipelines, governance, and regulatory reporting.
