Horizon Media Inc. is seeking a Director of Business Intelligence to elevate data usage across Horizon Next. You will lead the creation of scalable data products and drive adoption across teams and client engagements.

You will set department goals, mentor analysts, and collaborate with leadership to align analytics with business strategy while advancing our data infrastructure and governance.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Operations Research or equivalent work experience.
• 5 years experience in analytics, business intelligence, or a similar field.
• 3 years experience in media, advertising, or similar industry.
• 3 years using SQL in a work environment.
• 3 years experience with a cloud data warehouse like Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, or Snowflake.
• 1-2 years experience leading a team of technical Analysts.
• Experience with Git or similar version control.
• Experience with Python or a similar programming language.
• Experience with BI or dashboard tools like Tableau, Looker, or Domo.
• Experience with dbt (data build tool).

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance data and analytics capabilities across Horizon Next.
• Lead data modeling and reporting to make data accessible across Horizon Next.
• Improve and expand Horizon Next’s data and analytics infrastructure.
• Build and improve the team’s data visualization and dashboard practices.
• Promote the use of data and analytics across Horizon Next.
• Educate non-technical team members on data products and how to use data to inform decisions.
• Work with clients to understand data and create analytics solutions.
• Set strategic direction for the BI team and develop a roadmap.
