Job summary

Pfizer seeks a Data Integration Engineer to own the design, build, and operation of data pipelines connecting Medical Affairs AI solutions to enterprise data sources. You will implement integration patterns, govern data access, and partner with Solution Architecture to ensure scalable, production-grade data delivery.

The role is hands-on, collaborates with Build Engineers, and reports to the Senior Director, Engineering. Hybrid schedule with travel 2–3 days/week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics or related field.
• 8+ years of hands-on data engineering or application integration experience, building data pipelines and APIs.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and hands-on experience building ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Experience with Snowflake or equivalent data platforms and data governance framework.
• Experience with API design & integration patterns (REST/GraphQL) for data sources.
• Experience with data analytics automation using AI/ML or low-code/no-code tools.
• Experience with RAG pipelines, vector databases, or similar data access patterns.
• Strong Agile delivery and CI/CD practices.
• Knowledge of data governance and data cataloging best practices.
• Experience collaborating with engineering, architecture and stakeholders in matrixed environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and build data pipelines and integration patterns across enterprise systems and analytics platforms.
• Develop targeted pipelines to extract, transform, and serve AI data needs with reuse across solutions.
• Establish and follow data pipeline coding standards aligned with data models and cataloging.
• Monitor data latency and ensure timely data delivery for AI use cases.
