Job summary

Focus Financial Partners seeks a Director of Data Analytics to lead FP&A and data analytics strategy, transforming client, advisor, operational, and financial data into actionable insights. You will build scalable reporting, governance, and a data-driven culture across the organization.

The role reports to the VP of FP&A and Data Analytics and is based on a hybrid basis in New York, NY, or New Hyde Park, NY.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in data science, statistics, finance, computer science, or related quantitative field.
• 7–10 years of progressive data analytics experience in a large, complex environment.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python/R, and BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar).
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills able to explain analyses to non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated experience in financial services.
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, Azure, Synapse).
• Familiarity with Workday ERP and Adaptive Planning.
• Experience implementing predictive analytics, ML, or self-service analytics in regulated settings.

Responsibilities

• Lead a high-performing finance data analytics team delivering dashboards, KPI reporting, and advanced analytics.
• Partner across disciplines to improve data quality and enable trusted analytics across CRM and billing systems.
• Deliver reporting on client trends, segmentation, productivity, profitability, and retention.
• Navigate data warehouse and ensure clean data integration to ERP and reporting platforms.
• Identify opportunities to apply predictive analytics and AI to automate processes.
• Promote self-service analytics, data literacy, and evidence-based decision making.
• Establish governance, data quality, and privacy standards for regulatory and risk needs.
