Job summary

MSIG USA seeks a Director of Data Analytics and Engineering to lead the data engineering and analytics platform. You will manage data engineers, analytics engineers, and BI developers, delivering end-to-end data products and insights for P&C insurance.

Reporting to the CDAO, you will drive engineering excellence, promote a data-as-a-product mindset, and collaborate with Underwriting, Claims, Actuarial, Finance, and Reinsurance to translate data into measurable business value.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in data engineering, analytics, or data platform roles
• 4+ years in people management/leadership
• Production-grade data platforms on Azure (Databricks and Fabric)
• Experience in financial services or regulated industries preferred
• Power BI governance and self-service analytics enablement
• Strong leadership, strategy, and stakeholder collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Lead data engineering and analytics platform delivery across MSIG USA.
• Own design, development, and operations of the data platform on Azure and Fabric.
• Oversee Delta Live Tables, batch/streaming pipelines, and feature engineering workflows.
• Drive DataOps, CI/CD, data contracts, and pipeline observability.
• Ensure platform reliability, SLAs, and incident management for data pipelines.
• Partner with Enterprise Data & AI Architects to evolve Data Mesh.
