EPAM Systems Inc. seeks an outstanding Director, Data Analytics Consulting for Financial Services to partner with senior client executives and drive enterprise data and AI transformations.

The role blends data expertise, consulting excellence, and delivery leadership across Europe and the FS D&A portfolio, with a hybrid model that offers flexibility. You will oversee major engagements from sales to delivery, mentor consultants, and shape governance frameworks while ensuring regulatory alignment.

Qualifications

• Over 15 years of experience in data, analytics, and technology consulting with leadership experience at top firms or advisory organizations.
• Ability to drive large-scale data and AI transformation while advising C-level stakeholders.
• A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Applied Mathematics, or related discipline is preferred.
• German language proficiency is a significant advantage.
• Strong grasp of banking and financial services, data models, processing systems, operating models, and KPIs.
• Familiarity with Basel 3.1/CRR3, BCBS239, AML/AFC, DORA, EU AI Act, and model risk management.
• Proficiency with modern data platforms, including hands-on implementation in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Working knowledge of Databricks and other enterprise-grade data platforms.
• Solid understanding of data architecture, data modeling, governance, lineage, observability, real-time processing, and large-scale data management.
• Ability to convert business problems into data and AI solutions and advise executives on strategy, feasibility, risk, and value creation.
• Background in AI capabilities such as ML, RAG, Agentic Systems, and multimodal AI.
• Knowledge of AI governance, human oversight, explainability, auditability, and deployment in regulated settings.
• Track record of leading discovery phases, governance frameworks, and large-scale enterprise data programs.
• Ability to build target operating models, align stakeholders, and manage end-to-end delivery of transformation projects.
• Strong fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, search technologies, and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with client executives on major Data & AI initiatives across strategy, platform development, and transformation.
• Shape and grow Financial Services D&A offerings as the regional point of contact.
• Develop proposals and responses (RFP/RFQ/RFI) including winning strategy and storytelling.
• Oversee the FS project portfolio with delivery oversight across key engagements.
• Develop long-term client relationships based on value delivery.
• Lead early stages of engagements: vision, success criteria, team, and governance.
• Advise delivery teams on regulatory and compliance matters for AI-enabled solutions.
• Mentor consultants within FS D&A.
