Job summary

Bridgewater Bank is seeking a hands-on Director of Cybersecurity to lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the bank's cybersecurity architecture and controls. This role blends strategic leadership with direct technical work across Azure, M365, hybrid infrastructure, IAM, SaaS platforms, APIs, and security operations.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, cloud or infrastructure engineering, enterprise architecture, security architecture, or related technology disciplines; financial services experience strongly preferred.
• 3+ years of technical leadership, architecture ownership, or team leadership experience; hands-on with complex technical work.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical architecture, standards, strategic roadmap development, and technology investment recommendations for Azure, Microsoft 365, hybrid infrastructure, SaaS platforms, web technologies, APIs, integrations, automation, and applications.
• Own the technical strategy and control design for identity and access management, Entra ID, Conditional Access, MFA, SSO, and related lifecycle controls.
• Lead technical cybersecurity incident response activities from preparation through lessons learned and coordination with leadership.
• Collaborate with IT teams to design and implement comprehensive security strategies including controls, monitoring, vulnerability management, and reporting.
• Lead threat intelligence meetings and oversee collection/analysis to mitigate risks.
• Define and operate a technology control testing program aligned to NIST CSF; coordinate testing and remediation reporting.
• Manage technology audit and examination workflows, remediation planning, and closure reporting.
• Manage penetration test reporting and governance; coordinate scoping, results communication, remediation, and retesting.
