Job summary

Job Juncture seeks a Director of Manufacturing Operations for custom machine builds in Addison, IL. This hands-on leader will oversee all manufacturing functions, scheduling and labor planning, and guide the facility transition to two shifts while ensuring on-time delivery.

The role drives Lean, 5S, Six Sigma initiatives, manages P&L and budgets, and collaborates with Engineering, Supply Chain, Project Management, Sales, and Service to optimize productivity and cost performance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive manufacturing and operations leadership
• Strong production scheduling and labor planning experience
• Lean/5S/Six Sigma and manufacturing financials knowledge
• Experience in small to mid-size shops (10–75 on the floor)
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Manufacturing, Business, or related field

Responsibilities

• Manufacturing Operations: oversee machining, assembly, production planning, inventory control, logistics, and facilities; set KPIs and drive continuous improvement
• Scheduling, Labor Planning, and Project Execution: own production scheduling, resource planning, inventory management, and material availability
• Facility Transition and Shift Expansion: lead move to a new facility and expand from one shift to two
• Quality, Continuous Improvement, and Financial Performance: ensure quality, lead Lean, 5S, Six Sigma, and manage P&L and budgets
• Leadership and Organizational Development: build the operations team and workforce strategy
• Health, Safety, and Compliance: champion safety and regulatory compliance
