Job summary

SpaceXAI Memphis is seeking a Manager, Critical Facilities Operations to own reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of data center infrastructure including power, cooling, and environmental systems. You will lead a team of Supervisors and Technicians, driving hands-on technical excellence and cross-functional collaboration.

You will develop preventive maintenance programs, SOPs, and safety plans while ensuring uptime, budgeting, and lifecycle management across the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering field.
• 7+ years managing critical facilities systems (power, cooling, environmental controls).
• 5+ years of people leadership in facilities or technical operations.
• Deep knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems in data centers.
• Proven track record leading facilities projects from planning to execution.
• Proficiency with BMS, environmental monitoring tools, and CMMS.
• Strong prioritization, time management, and decision-making under pressure.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, high-stakes environments with attention to detail.
• Must pass pre-employment and annual background checks.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Supervisors and Technicians.
• Own maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance of data center infra.
• Develop and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Create and enforce SOPs, emergency plans, and change management processes.
• Ensure safety compliance and champion a strong safety culture.
• Partner with engineering, procurement, construction, and operations teams.
• Oversee inventory, asset management, and spare parts strategy.
• Manage critical equipment maintenance, repairs, and capital projects.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives to reduce downtime and improve efficiency.
• Own vendor relationships and service contracts for facilities support.
• Provide 24/7 on-call leadership and rapid response to incidents.
• Develop and manage operating budgets, forecasts, and resource planning.
