Qualifications

• Master’s degree in counseling, clinical social work, marriage and family therapy, or a closely related clinical mental health discipline, or a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology.
• Active, unrestricted Wisconsin licensure appropriate for independent clinical practice or eligibility to obtain the appropriate Wisconsin license before beginning clinical duties.
• At least five years of professional clinical counseling experience, including work with college students or similar populations.
• Experience in clinical assessment, short-term counseling, suicide risk assessment, safety planning, crisis intervention, and referral coordination.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, short-term counseling, clinical assessment, treatment planning, and follow-up to enrolled students; offer group counseling as needed.
• Assess concerns, determine urgency, and refer to appropriate campus or community resources when needed.
• Coordinate crisis intervention, risk assessment, safety planning, and emergency referrals.
• Develop and maintain campus crisis procedures and collaboration with campus partners.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate counseling services, manage budgets, and oversee program growth.
• Maintain confidential clinical records and ensure compliance with confidentiality and licensing requirements.
