Job summary

Community Wealth Partners in Washington, DC is seeking a Director of Content and Communications to define and execute the firm's content strategy, oversee external communications, and align all assets with the brand.

The successful candidate will lead a team, shape topics, contribute to thought leadership, secure partnerships and funding for research, and represent the firm at conferences and in major media; travel is anticipated.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of work experience in or with professional services firms or management consulting desirable.
• Experience in content strategy and development, communications, thought leadership, marketing, public relations, journalism, or a related field.
• Understanding of the social sector and issues faced by foundations and nonprofits.
• Experience serving as a thought partner to leaders at foundations and/or nonprofit organizations.
• Experience supervising team members and supporting their professional development.
• Experience conceiving original research projects and learning experiences to advance ideas.
• Experience packaging content into various forms (stories, data) and applying multimedia methods (videos, infographics, data visualization).

Responsibilities

• Create an overarching vision for content and communications aligned with the firm's brand.
• Develop and manage an annual content and communications plan and budget.
• Engage with clients and sector to identify themes and collect data insights.
• Design projects such as original research or learning experiences.
• Oversee external communications and supervise the communications team.
• Serve as a member of the senior leadership team to guide strategic growth.
