Job summary

Energi Connect in Houston, TX seeks a Director of Construction to lead pre-construction and construction across utility-scale solar, energy storage, and other renewable assets.

This role partners with development, engineering, procurement, finance, and commercial teams to guide projects from late development through commissioning, manage risk, EPC contracting, and build a high-performing project management organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 8+ years of experience in construction, project management, engineering, or renewable energy project execution.
• Demonstrated experience managing utility-scale solar, energy storage, power generation, transmission, or other large infrastructure projects.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams through complex project lifecycles.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams responsible for advancing utility-scale renewable energy projects from pre-construction through commercial operation.
• Oversee project execution, ensuring schedule, budget, quality, and safety objectives are achieved.
• Monitor project performance and provide strategic direction to project management teams.
• Support financing, lender, and investor requirements throughout project execution.
