Job summary

NYR GROUP in the New York City Metropolitan Area is seeking a Director of Construction to lead complex, multi-phase projects from planning through completion. This on-site role requires strong budgeting, procurement, and team leadership to ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance across the portfolio.

The successful candidate will coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors, mentor site teams, and drive continuous improvement on schedule and cost performance for NYR

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Experience leading multi-phase construction projects.
• Strong budgeting and cost-management skills.
• Knowledge of procurement, vendor selection, and contract negotiation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Proven leadership of cross-functional site teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning and execution of multiple construction projects.
• Manage scheduling, resource allocation, and site supervision.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors.
• Review budgets, track costs, and support procurement decisions.
