Job summary

Clayco is building a data and AI organization from the ground up, with the semantic layer at the core. You will own the semantic layer, define certified definitions, and lead the analytics engineering team as it grows to eleven people over two years.

You will build conformed models for project, cost code, vendor, contract, and schedule activity, guiding governance and cross-functional collaboration with data platform and AI teams.

Qualifications

• Built a semantic layer at scale in Snowflake/dbt.
• Experience in construction/architecture domain is a plus.
• Led analytics engineers; hiring and setting standards.
• Ability to align business definitions with finance and operations.
• Nice to have: Procore or similar project systems.

Responsibilities

• Own semantic layer definitions and governance.
• Build the core conformed models: project, cost code, vendor, contract, schedule activity.
• Stand up domain models for finance, WIP, project controls, safety and risk.
• Hire and lead analytics engineering team, growing from two to eleven.
• Retire legacy reporting estate onto governed models.
• Collaborate with data platform, AI products, and governance leads.
