Job summary

Confidential heavy equipment rental company seeks a Director of Contracts to lead the construction contracts function within Legal, Contracts, and Risk Management. You will manage a team of Contract Managers, attorneys, and contract administrators, driving strategy, risk allocation, and scalable operations.

You will partner with executive leadership, including the CFO and President, to align contract strategy with business objectives, oversee end-to-end contracting, and continuously improve

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; JD preferred.
• Minimum 5+ years in construction contract management.
• Texas law license preferred.
• Strong knowledge of indemnification and insurance structures.
• Experience leading contract teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the construction contracts team and allocate workload.
• Serve as main contact for internal stakeholders and customers on complex contracts.
• Review, negotiate, and approve construction, rental, and consulting agreements.
• Own end-to-end contracting lifecycle with scope, schedule, pricing, and payments.
• Improve contract management processes and systems for efficiency and risk control.
• Provide cross-functional training to increase contract fluency.
• Collaborate with CFO, President, and Owner to align strategy.
• Oversee implementation workflows across teams.
• Conduct periodic contract performance and compliance reviews.
• Support additional initiatives as assigned.
