Job summary

360X Staffing is seeking a Director of Construction to oversee planning, execution, and delivery of utility-scale renewables projects. You will report to the SVP of Construction and manage schedules, budgets, and contractor teams to ensure safe, on-time, within-budget outcomes.

Responsibilities include developing execution plans, coordinating with engineering and procurement, and delivering updates to executives while enforcing compliance and quality across multiple projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 15+ years of progressive construction management experience.
  • Utility-scale wind and/or solar PV & BESS construction experience required.
  • Proven leadership experience managing construction teams and contractors.
  • Strong knowledge of project scheduling, budgeting, cost control, and contract management.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

  • Lead construction execution for utility-scale wind, solar, and BESS projects.
  • Develop and manage project execution plans, schedules, budgets, and cost forecasts.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project stakeholders to maintain project timelines.
  • Manage third-party contractors, vendors, and project performance.
  • Identify project risks, resolve issues proactively, and manage change orders.
  • Monitor construction quality, safety, and compliance with contracts, permits, and specifications.
  • Review and approve invoices, budgets, cost-to-complete reports, and project documentation.
  • Provide regular project updates to executive leadership.
  • Collaborate with procurement on contractor selection and long-lead material planning.
  • Interface with AHJs and support project permitting.
  • Lead and develop construction team members while managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Job description

The Director of Construction oversees the planning, execution, and delivery of utility-scale renewable energy construction projects. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Construction, this role is responsible for managing project schedules, budgets, third-party contractors, and internal teams to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with contractual and technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead construction execution for utility-scale wind, solar, and BESS projects.
  • Develop and manage project execution plans, schedules, budgets, and cost forecasts.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project stakeholders to maintain project timelines.
  • Manage third-party contractors, vendors, and project performance.

  • 15+ years of progressive construction management experience.
  • Utility-scale wind and/or solar PV & BESS construction experience required.
  • Proven leadership experience managing construction teams and contractors.
  • Strong knowledge of project scheduling, budgeting, cost control, and contract management.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple large-scale projects in a fast-paced environment.
