Job summary

Qualifications

• Years of commercial construction or project management experience, with experience in renovation, remodeling, and/or new construction.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, plans, specifications, estimating, scheduling, budgeting, and project management.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects, teams, subcontractors, and competing priorities while meeting deadlines.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience coordinating with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction/project management software.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, with a valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial renovation, remodeling, and new construction projects from design and planning through completion, ensuring quality, schedule, budget, and client expectations are met.
• Oversee project planning, estimating, budgeting, scheduling, contacts, change orders, and overall project costs.
• Lead and coordinate project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, architects, engineers, and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review construction plans, specifications, scopes of work, and project requirements to identify risks, resolve issues, and maintain project progress.
• Maintain strong client and industry relationships while providing clear communication and regular project updates.
• Establish and improve construction processes, safety standards, and best practices to improve efficiency, quality, and profitability.

We are seeking an experienced Director of Construction to lead our commercial construction operations, overseeing projects from initial design and planning through completion. This position will manage project execution, construction teams, subcontractors, budgets, schedules, and client relationships while ensuring projects are delivered safely, effectively, and to the highest quality standards.

The ideal candidate has strong commercial construction and project management experience, understands the design and construction process, and can effectively lead multiple projects while maintaining strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
