Director of Community Outreach
Position Summary:
The Arbors Communities is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Director of Community Outreach to lead our admissions efforts and grow occupancy across our communities. This role is responsible for evaluating prospective residents, ensuring compliance with NYSDOH guidelines, and promoting The Arbors within the greater community. The ideal candidate will be personable, organized, and driven to build strong relationships with referral sources and community partners, helping families make informed decisions during an important life transition.
Key Responsibilities:
Actively market The Arbors to the community through outreach visits, presentations, and events with referral sources such as hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, community centers, senior organizations, and religious institutions
Conduct community tours and provide prospective residents and families with accurate and compassionate guidance throughout the admissions process
Manage the intake and screening process, ensuring all required documentation (medical, mental health, financial) is obtained and compliant with NYSDOH and CMS standards
Coordinate transportation and logistics for incoming residents, ensuring a smooth and respectful transition into the community
Serve as a liaison between referral sources and The Arbors, handling any concerns with professionalism and alignment with company values
Collaborate with corporate and community teams to meet occupancy goals and adhere to performance deadlines
Maintain accurate records in CRM systems for both private pay and Medicaid leads
Provide daily updates on prospective resident status and maintain the Medicaid tracker
Stay current with NYSDOH and CMS regulations related to admissions and compliance
Uphold HIPAA standards and always maintain confidentiality
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently
Previous sales or outreach experience preferred (training available for the right candidate)
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Physical Requirements:
Ability to move intermittently throughout the workday, including sitting, standing, bending, pushing, pulling, and assisting with resident transitions
