Job summary

Yamhill County seeks a Director for the Department of Community Justice to supervise and manage a multi-division agency including adult parole, probation, juvenile programs and community service. The role oversees policy development, strategic planning, grants, and budgeting, reporting to County leadership.

The Director will implement legislative changes, maintain collaboration with local partners, and supervise staff while advancing evidence-based practices within Oregon’s corrections system.

Qualifications

• Possession of an appropriate undergraduate degree in social sciences or a related field.
• Five years or more of relevant experience with progressive responsibilities in program administration and supervision.
• Obtain DPSST Executive Certification within 5 years of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Supervises staff across adult parole/probation, out-of-custody work crew, juvenile probation, detention and community service programs.
• Develops, implements, and updates operating procedures and policies.
• Prepares and administers the annual department budget; presents to Budget Committee and County Commissioners.
