Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is seeking a Director Commercial Contract Management (US-O) to lead the contracting process for complex customer agreements nationwide. The role will train and mentor CCM staff, oversee contract development, and coordinate with internal partners to ensure effective risk allocation and execution.

The position requires extensive contract experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to navigate high-stakes negotiations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 7–10 years of general business experience, preferably in commercial analysis, audit or commercial finance.
• Commercial contracting experience required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Analytical, reporting and presentation skills required.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Familiarity with contract management technologies (e.g., contract lifecycle database).
• Proficiency in Word, specifically Review/Compare functionality.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and guidance to DHL business development team in responding to contractual terms during RFPs for new business opportunities.
• Own the contracting process from initial draft to fully executed contract.
• Coordinate with internal business partners to provide project details for initial draft.
• Lead negotiations with customers and explain DHL's positions clearly.
• Review and negotiate customer contracts with DHL account team; assess risks and recommend changes.
• Elevate nonstandard risks to DHL executive leadership for approval when applicable.
• Submit negotiated contracts through the DHL Contract Approval Process and maintain records in the Global Contracts Database.
• Oversee CCM team workload and performance, and manage direct reports.
