Job summary

ACV Auctions in Chicago, IL seeks a seasoned Commercial Analytics Director to lead analytics and BI strategy across dealer, fleet, and commercial segments. You will partner with Sales, Solutions, and Finance to deliver actionable insights and dashboards that drive revenue and efficiency.

Requires 10+ years in analytics, strong SQL, and expertise in BI tools; experience with pricing, margins, and forecasting is a plus.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Data Analytics or related field.
10+ years in commercial analytics, BI, or revenue/strategy analytics.
5+ years leading analytics teams.
Strong statistics, forecasting, segmentation and inference.
Advanced SQL in relational/cloud databases; KPI dashboards in BI tools.

Responsibilities

Define and own the commercial analytics and BI strategy aligned with growth objectives.
Establish best practices for analytics, reporting, data visualization, and governance.
Partner with executive leadership to define KPIs and executive dashboards.
Drive automation and scalability in reporting to reduce manual effort.
Own recurring performance reporting for multiple dealer/segment accounts.
Translate findings into executive-ready and customer-ready materials.
Develop customer segmentation and lifetime-value views to identify growth.
