Job summary

KIPP Northern California is seeking the Director of College & Career Counseling to lead a school-based counseling department and advance college access for underserved students.

The role reports to school leadership, manages a team, and partners with KIPP Forward and regional offices to align with the organization’s equity mission. Extensive experience in college admissions and data-driven improvement is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• 4+ years in College Match/College Admissions; experience in CA preferred.
• Ability to lead high-performing, diverse teams and manage adults.

Responsibilities

• Lead the College & Career Counseling Department and set the strategic plan.
• Develop postsecondary match strategy and coordinate events with partners.
• Manage counselors, supervise performance, and drive data-informed decisions.
