Job summary

symplr is seeking a Director of Security Engineering & CloudSecOps to guide a high‑performing team across security engineering, cloud security, risk management, and compliance. The role partners with IT, DevOps, Engineering, Product, Compliance, Privacy, and Legal to embed security into architecture reviews, deployment pipelines, and ongoing risk assessments.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in Information Security, IT Security, Security Engineering, Cloud Security, and/or Security Operations.
• 3-5 years of people management and leadership experience in security teams.
• Demonstrated security architecture and cloud security skills across multiple platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mature Security Engineering and CloudSecOps program to protect company, customers, and brand.
• Define and execute the security engineering roadmap across cloud, network, identity, and data security.
• Mentor the Security Engineering and CloudSecOps team with emphasis on automation and continuous improvement.
• Partner with IT, DevOps, Engineering, Product, Compliance, and Legal to embed security into pipelines and reviews.
• Drive threat detection, incident readiness, vulnerability management, and continuous control monitoring.
