Capital One seeks a Director, Full-stack Engineer to lead multiple product-focused software teams, guiding architectural decisions and cloud delivery. You will partner with product managers, designers, architects and executives to translate business goals into scalable technology platforms.

Directors are technical people leaders who develop talent, drive engineering strategy and ensure delivery velocity with resilient systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
At least 5 years of people management experience.
At least 7 years of experience across software engineering, enterprise architecture, and cloud/data design.

Responsibilities

Lead, manage and grow multiple teams of product-focused software engineers.
Mentor and guide the professional and technical development of engineers on your team.
Work with product managers to understand desired applications and testing scenarios.
Continuously improve software engineering practices.
Design, develop, test, implement and support full-stack solutions across AWS environments.
Oversee and guide the technical implementation of monolithic apps into microservices.
Shape long-term technical strategy and architecture standards for enterprise platforms.
Partner with senior leaders to align roadmaps with scalable technology capabilities.
Drive talent strategy, succession planning and equitable opportunities.
