Job summary

OpenLoop is seeking a senior cloud/infra leader to define the multi-year AWS roadmap and lead a growing team of engineers. You will own platform standards, drive Terraform-based automation, and partner with Security to embed HIPAA and SOC 2 controls.

The role emphasizes reliability, cost control, and cross-functional alignment with Product, Eng, and Finance. You will manage a distributed team, shape the org, and steer cloud modernization across the OpenLoop product ecosystem, with remote work

Qualifications

• 10+ years in infrastructure or cloud engineering with 4+ years leading teams.
• Deep AWS production workload experience; GCP or Azure a plus.
• Strong expertise in Terraform, containers, and CI/CD.
• Experience in regulated environments (HIPAA, SOC 2, HITRUST, PCI).
• Clear communicator capable of influencing executives and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Own cloud strategy and multi-year architecture roadmap for AWS-based platform.
• Build, hire, and lead cloud/infrastructure teams and managers.
• Drive IaC and automation with Terraform, CI/CD, self-service tooling.
• Partner on security/compliance by design (HIPAA, SOC 2, HITRUST).
• Set SLOs, observability, capacity planning, and disaster recovery.
• Own FinOps, forecast cloud spend and cost optimization.
• Translate constraints into options for Product, Eng, Security, and Finance.
