Job summary
Barton College in Wilson, NC invites applications for the Director of Clinical Simulation in the School of Health Sciences. This role will lead and manage the clinical simulation program while teaching in the Nursing program and hold an Assistant or Associate Professor rank.
The ideal candidate will advance simulation-based education, mentor faculty, and collaborate with health science faculty to align simulations with accreditation standards and clinical practice needs.
Qualifications
- Master's in Nursing or closely related field is required or terminal degree preferred.
- Active RN license and relevant clinical experience are required.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver hands-on simulation and associated pedagogy.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all aspects of the Clinical Simulation program and lab operations.
- Teach Nursing coursework with a focus on simulation-based education.
- Maintain currency through professional engagement and partnerships.
- Develop and refine simulation scenarios aligned with curricula and accreditation.
- Mentor faculty on simulation pedagogy and best practices.
- Collaborate with Nursing and Health Science faculty to integrate simulation across courses.
- Support student recruitment and program promotion onsite.
