The Director of Clinical Informatics supports high quality, patient-centered care through leading the successful development, coordination, implementation, support, and ongoing analysis of clinical informatics initiatives. Under the direction of the Division VP, the DCI will participate in the community of Clinical Informatics by working with division and facility leadership to ensure clinical applications are well supported throughout the assigned facility.

What you will be doing in the role:

• Implements, supports, and promotes corporate- and division-wide standardization, utilization, integration, and optimization activities related to the Electronic Health Record (EHR), including but not limited to meaningful use initiatives, clinical quality measures and nursing/clinical informatics initiatives.
• Directs the analysis of hospital clinical performance, including workflow, dataflow, outcome measures, quality and patient safety, clinical risk management, and root cause analysis. Focuses on improvement opportunities and prioritization within the framework of HCA’s enterprise clinical systems.
• Builds a competitively superior organization through attracting, developing, engaging, and retaining talent. Ensures people with the right skills and motivations are in the right role, at the right time, to meet business needs.
• Analyzes and strategizes with leadership on opportunities to improve efficiency, outcomes, or cost containment, including gaps in workflow and system or build issues.
