Qualifications

Who you are:

This is an exciting transformative position at the intersection of quality, analytics, and technology. We seek a candidate with a clinical background or extensive healthcare experience who is strategic, innovative, and data-savvy. The Clinical Informatics Program Director will support all lines of Johns Hopkins Health Plans in developing and executing strategies for quality performance analytics, clinical data acquisition/informatics, and supporting clinical outcomes in population health management.

What you’ll do:

Clinical Informatics: serve as the subject matter expert on digital quality measurement, interoperability, and clinical data acquisition. Lead initiatives with IT to source clinical data from various entities, rationalize clinical data integration modalities, and develop a comprehensive, cost-effective strategy.

Act as the primary liaison to regional HIEs and manage vended clinical data integration solutions. Build partnerships with providers for supplemental data feeds. This clinical data will support HEDIS/Stars, Risk adjustment, and population health strategies.



Quality Analytics: collaborate with data/analytics teams to enhance quality performance analytics, integrating multiple data types to generate insights for quality improvement and population health. Oversee dashboard and analytics tool development, ensuring a high-value approach to clinical analytics.

What you’ll bring:

  • 10+ years of healthcare experience in population health, informatics/analytics, or quality.
  • Experience leading analytics/informatics initiatives.
  • Results-oriented with proven collaboration and relationship-building skills.
  • Certification in a quality or informatics program preferred.
  • Knowledge of data acquisition, integration, analytics, and interoperability principles.
  • Familiarity with clinical terminology standards (ICD, SNOMED, DRG, NDC, LOINC, CPT/HCPCS) and messaging standards (FHIR, HL7).
  • Understanding of quality measurement/reporting standards (HEDIS, eCQM/dQM, ECDS).
  • Strong presentation skills for diverse stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred. Educational background in health administration, computer science, or a clinical field is advantageous.

Salary Range: $48.29 - $77.27 per hour, commensurate with experience and responsibilities. Salary discussions may occur during screening if range is not specified.
